How it works
A Minecraft virtual build battle
The tournament will be held on zoom at 3:30 pm on January 3nd, 2021 and it will be on a multiplayer server. When everyone is in the meeting, there will be a poll to decode the topic for the build battle. The players can build anything they want with any blocks they want to and the judges are Casper, Owen, Mak, and Kazu. They will be in their own breakout rooms the whole time building and they won’t be able to chat with each other if they have any questions, they can only chat with hosts. This will stop them from communicating with each other and cheating. And after the 1 hour is over the participants will be put back into the main room and they will wait for the judges to score and calculate. They will see their final scores. The entry fee will be $500 and they will have 1 hour to build a good thing that they will think can win. They will each have a plot of land to build it (60x60x60 blocks), but there will be walls to prevent them from seeing other people. If someone makes an explicit build, they will be disqualified and kicked out of the zoom meeting. They must keep their cameras on the whole time. When they finish, the judges will go to each one to judge and give a score and rank it. The final winner will be calculated with a ranking system based on the scores given by each judge. Each ticket will be $500. Our expenses include the prizes, the cost of making a Minecraft server. To reach our goal of 5000$, we must have at least 15 people. If we have 15 people, we will have a revenue of 500 times 15, which is 7500. With our expenses at about $2000, we can successfully raise our target goal.
